Psst... come a little closer...

I have a wish to share with you.

Actually... it's a wish that has already come true.

The Wish in A Dish is officially published and ready to make its way into the hands—and hearts—of little dreamers everywhere!

Holding my very first Story City book in my hands, I found myself thinking about a question tucked quietly inside its pages:

What if kindness was the greatest Magick of all?

Because The Wish in A Dish isn't only a story about faeries, frozen wishes, and an enchanting place called Story City.

At its heart, it's an invitation for children to wonder...

What if my thoughts really matter?

What if my words carry more power than I realize?

What if one loving wish could become the beginning of something beautiful?

In The Wish in A Dish, a simple dish of water becomes a place for children to send their wishes out into the world.

❤️ A wish for love.

🤩 A wish for joy.

🕊️ A wish for peace.

🌟 A wish for kindness, hope, or healing.

Of course, there's room in Story City for every good-hearted wish. But my greatest hope is that children begin to discover the Magick of wishing beyond themselves.

• Because a loving thought can become a loving word.

• A loving word can become a loving action.

• And one loving action can ripple farther into the world than we may ever know.

That's the Magick I hope children carry with them long after the last page is turned.

I hope they giggle at the faeries, get swept away by the rhymes and whimsical illustrations, and wonder what might happen to a wish placed in a little dish of water.

But even more, I hope The Wish in A Dish becomes something families share together.

Maybe it even becomes a new bedtime tradition—reading the story together, choosing a beautiful wish for the world, writing it down, whispering it over a little dish of water, and placing it in the freezer before saying goodnight.

Then morning brings one more little bit of Magick...

What did your wish become while you were dreaming?
It's a simple tradition, but one that can open beautiful conversations about kindness, imagination, gratitude, and the kind of world our children dream of creating.

Because children aren't powerless in that world.
Their thoughts matter.
Their words matter.
Their choices matter.
Their light matters.

And now, after so much dreaming, imagining, writing, wishing, and believing, my own wish has come true.
